WaveCore™ Cabinets

Our Cabinets are rigorously engineered to minimise unwanted resonance, internal reflections, and vibration so that the drivers can operate with maximum clarity and precision. Every ART model is crafted from premium birch plywood and Richlite composites and features our proprietary WaveCore™ internal cabinet geometry - engineered to control how sound waves propagate inside the enclosure to deliver exceptional transparency and musical realism.

Signature Richlite composite panels are integrated into the front baffle, adding exceptional mass and damping where it’s most effective: Between the drive units and the birch cabinet.  Richlite’s dense, layered composition suppresses cabinet resonances more effectively than standard plywood or MDF, resulting in cleaner, faster bass with more definition and increased transparency in the midrange and treble.

Expression – Sonomex Dome Tweeter


The Expression spec loudspeakers are the entry level spec and use a high-quality Sonomex dome tweeter designed to deliver a natural, smooth, and fatigue-free treble. Sonomex is valued for it’s controlled breakup behaviour, which results in a warm, well-integrated high end that blends effortlessly with the midrange. In practice, this tweeter prioritizes musicality over showiness, avoiding sharp edges while still offering good detail and air. It’s particularly forgiving with recordings and electronics, making the Expression range easy to live with for long listening sessions and a wide variety of music genres.

Emotion Carbon – Carbon Dome Tweeter


The Emotion Carbon spec models step up to a carbon dome tweeter, derived from our experience with diamond technology. Carbon is significantly stiffer and lighter than Sonomex, allowing the tweeter to extend higher in frequency with greater precision and faster transient response. Sonically, this translates into a more open, detailed, and dynamic treble, with improved micro-detail and a stronger sense of space and realism. The carbon dome strikes a balance between clarity and musical smoothness, offering noticeably more resolution than fabric domes without tipping into harshness.

Impression Diamond Reference – Pure Diamond Dome Tweeter


At the top of the range, the Impression Diamond Reference spec loudspeakers use a pure diamond dome tweeter, representing the pinnacle of seas’s tweeter technology. Diamond’s extreme stiffness and low mass push resonance far beyond the audible range, resulting in exceptionally clean, distortion-free high frequencies. This allows for breathtaking transparency, lightning-fast transients, and effortless extension well beyond human hearing, which enhances realism, imaging, and soundstage depth. The treble is ultra-precise yet remarkably smooth, revealing the finest details in recordings while maintaining a sense of ease and refinement that defines true reference-level performance.

NEXTEL Coating

Nextel coating enhances a paper cone by adding precisely controlled damping and surface stability without sacrificing paper’s natural tonal qualities. Its primary advantage is suppression of cone breakup and resonances, which results in a smoother, more linear frequency response and lower distortion. By slightly increasing mass in a controlled way while dramatically improving damping, Nextel allows the cone to behave more pistonic over a wider bandwidth, producing cleaner transients, greater clarity, and more accurate timbre. The result is a driver that retains the warmth and musicality of paper while delivering the precision, control, and refinement expected from modern high-end loudspeaker design.

Used in all Emotion Carbon and Impression Diamond Reference spec models.

W8 Exotic Midrange

The W8 mid-range unit is a high-end 8-inch woofer-midrange driver designed for smooth, wide-bandwidth reproduction with low distortion and high sensitivity, making it ideal for transparent midrange duties. Its special paper cone is embedded with papyrus fibres to optimise stiffness and damping, improving clarity while controlling resonances. A lightweight foam rubber surround reduces moving mass by around 40 %, increasing sensitivity and transient response while maintaining excellent damping behaviour. The motor system uses an Alnico V magnet and copper shorting rings to stabilise flux and reduce distortion from eddy currents, while a carefully designed spider and ash phase plug minimise mechanical noise and optimise radiation in the critical mid-frequency band. Overall, the W8 is engineered to deliver a natural, articulate midrange with high resolution and tonal purity—key for vocal realism and instrument timbre.
